Once you are privileged to have/get a child, you have been entrusted by The Universe to be one of the vehicles through which the miracle of creation continues.

Your minimum responsibility is for the food, protection, clothing, shelter, education and the positive socialization of that child for at least the next 18 years

irrespective of breakup, separation, divorce or death.

Parenting is the single most important human activity.

Home is the first school. Parents – the first teachers. The rest is ‘extra lessons’.

Male urge to procreate is stronger than the desire to parent.  For this reason parenting in human male is a learned socialized behavior. 

Women need to raise the bar and initiate serious discussion before allowing men access to their womb. 

The phrases that announces many Jamaican children into the world – “Ah miss mi period”——”Weh yu a tell mi dat fah” – No preliminary discussion of either party suitability to be the parent of your child.

Society needs to display and reinforce pro-social behaviours for family life, especially male parenting.

Socializing the next generation is one of the most important human activities. When parenting fails the overburdened teachers and the school system  are called on to pick up the slack. 

The final step then  becomes the criminal-justice system. 

When Universal Laws are violated punishment is not always swift but definitely certain. 

Sometimes the entire community and even nation feels it.
