🌅 Why Death is the Prelude to Resurrection

In the symbolic arc of Easter, death is not the end—it is the necessary passage. We often speak of resurrection in grand, triumphant terms, but forget that resurrection is preceded by release. Something must die—be buried—before something greater can rise. The tomb is not a prison; it is a womb for transformation.

Psychologically, we hold on to patterns, identities, and narratives long past their usefulness. We cling to them out of habit, fear, or ego. But just as nature sheds leaves before spring’s renewal, we too must release what no longer serves us.

🪦 What Traits, Attitudes and Behaviours Do You Wish Would Die?

As you reflect this Easter, you confront the shadow self within—those parts that you may no longer wish to carry:

The need for control — born of fear, not wisdom?

Impatience — the refusal to let life unfold at its own pace?

Self-doubt — that quiet thief of joy, lurking behind opportunities missed?

Resentment — toxic remnants of past wounds?

Over-identification with past success — limiting openness to new beginnings?

🧱 How Have They Limited Your Life, Relationships, and Work?

Each of these has cast a long shadow:

Control stifles collaboration.

Impatience erodes presence.

Self-doubt whispers “not enough,” even when surrounded by abundance.

Resentment poisons love and blocks compassion.

Living too long in the echo of past success blinds us to the undiscovered possibilities of now.

Letting them die is not loss—it is liberation.

🕊️ What Do You Wish to Raise Up Instead?

Greater Faith in Divine Order — trusting the invisible choreography of life?

Emotional Flexibility — the ability to adapt without breaking?

Radical Self-Acceptance — embracing every phase of becoming?

Compassionate Communication — speaking from a place of love, not ego?

Purposeful Innovation — the courage to start again, differently and better?

These are not just virtues. They are muscles to be exercised, cultivated, lived.

Why 3 Days Are Not Enough

The Easter story gives us a beautiful metaphor: three days from crucifixion to resurrection. But personal transformation isn’t governed by calendar time. It happens in soul time.

In psychology, transformation follows a three-phase model:

  1. Separation – breaking from the old self.
  2. Liminality – the in-between, uncomfortable cocoon.
  3. Integration – emerging with a new identity.

Research in neuroplasticity shows that forming new habits takes a minimum of 21 to 66 days, depending on complexity. But rewiring identity—truly becoming the best version of yourself—can take months or even years, especially if you’re dismantling deeply rooted emotional patterns.

🕯️ If You Start Today, When Will the New You Emerge?

Start today—and you begin a sacred process.

In 21 days, you may notice awareness shifting.

In 3 months, you will begin to behave differently.

In 6 months, others will notice the change.

In a year, you’ll wonder who you used to be.

And in 3 to 5 years, you will live from the resurrection, not just talk about it.

The journey is not linear. You will slip. You may relapse. But each return to the path is a resurrection of its own.

🌱 Let This Easter Be More Than a Ritual

Ask yourself:

What part of me is ready to die? What new life is struggling to emerge?

Easter invites you to begin your own resurrection story. Not in three days. But in every single choice, thought, and breath going forward.

Welcome to the process. Trust it. Embrace it. Walk it.
And remember…

The Best is Yet to Come.

A Note to My Readers

I write not to convince or convert, but simply to share insights gained from years of observation, study, and experience. What I offer here are perspectives — reflections meant to inspire thought, not debates.

If my words resonate with you, I welcome that. If they do not, I invite you to simply take what serves you and leave the rest.

My consultation sessions are quite different. They are sacred spaces where I partner with individuals who are seeking clarity, transformation, and growth in their own lives. If that is what you desire, I would be honored to assist you.

Until then, may you continue your journey with curiosity and grace.
