This is what I know. This is how I live.

I am a spiritual being having a human experience. That human experience comes with a body – useful, remarkable and wonderfully designed, but limited. My body can only lift so much, travel so far and work for so long before it demands rest. It is affected by age, illness, fatigue and the ordinary wear and tear of living.

I understand those limitations more clearly now than I did when I was younger. The body negotiates with time. It no longer responds to every instruction with the same speed or enthusiasm. Sometimes the spirit says, “Let us go,” and the knees quietly ask, “How far?” That is not a complaint. It is simply one of the conditions of being human.

The mind offers us a wider field of possibility. Through imagination, memory, reason and creativity, we can travel far beyond the boundaries of the physical body. We can revisit yesterday, rehearse tomorrow and create something in consciousness that does not yet exist in the physical world. The mental capacity is powerful. But it, too, appears to have limits.

There is only so much information the conscious mind can hold at once. There are problems we cannot reason our way through, outcomes we cannot calculate and connections we cannot see. Intelligence is a magnificent instrument, but it is not omniscience. Even the brightest mind cannot anticipate every turn in the road.

So, if the body is limited and the conscious mind is powerful but capped, how do we reach beyond what we can physically accomplish or mentally calculate? For me, the answer lies in understanding that I am not separate from the larger intelligence of life. I am part of the Universe. And the Universe is not waiting for me to understand everything before it moves.

I Begin With FEELINGS

Before something becomes visible in my life, I try to feel its emotional reality. Not merely wanting it. Not desperately begging for it. Feeling it. What would peace feel like in my body? What would meaningful work feel like? What would it feel like to see an idea that has lived inside me finally take form? What would it feel like to be surrounded by people who understand the purpose and value of The Semaj MindSpa?

Feelings carry information. They tell us what matters, what is aligned and what may be calling us forward. They can become an internal rehearsal for a reality that has not yet arrived. This does not mean that every passing emotion should be treated as prophecy. Fear can distort. Old wounds can speak loudly. Anxiety can disguise itself as intuition. We must learn to distinguish between a reaction from the past and a direction for the future. But when a feeling is settled, persistent and connected to purpose, I pay attention. Sometimes I feel the truth of something long before I can explain it.

Then I Work With THOUGHTS

Feelings provide energy, but thoughts give that energy direction. What we repeatedly think about begins to shape what we notice, what we expect and how we behave. The mind starts looking for evidence consistent with its dominant instructions. If I constantly tell myself, “There is no way,” I am likely to overlook the small openings that could become a path. If I ask, “What might be possible here?” the mind begins to search differently.

This is not shallow positive thinking. I do not believe we should deny difficulty, ignore danger or pretend that painful circumstances do not exist. Believe the diagnosis, not the prognosis. See the situation clearly. Respect the evidence. Understand the obstacles. Then refuse to assume that what is visible today represents the full range of what is possible tomorrow. A disciplined mind does not merely repeat pleasant slogans. It holds the desired destination while remaining flexible about the route.

Then Comes the WORD

Words give form to thought. There is power in saying clearly what you intend, what you believe and what you are willing to become. The words I speak are not casual decorations. They are instructions – to my mind, my behaviour and, I believe, to the infinite field of possibilities around me.

“I am called to be a catalyst.” “The Best Is Yet to Come.” “I am ready for the people, opportunities and resources that are aligned with my purpose.” These are not magic spells. Words without congruent action quickly become noise. But words spoken with feeling, supported by focused thought and reinforced through action may become declarations of direction. Language organises consciousness.

When I name what I seek, I begin to recognise it. When I speak what I believe, I strengthen my commitment to it. When I repeatedly describe myself as helpless, defeated or unlucky, I must understand that my nervous system is listening. The 37 trillion cells that make up your body are constantly eavesdropping on your feelings, thoughts and words. So when I speak possibility – not fantasy, but possibility – I prepare myself to move when the opening appears.

Then I Trust the UNIVERSE to Create a WAY

This may be the most difficult part. We want to control the route. We want the complete map, the timetable and written guarantees. We ask the Universe for an answer and then tell it exactly how the answer must arrive. But life does not always move in straight lines. A conversation creates an introduction. An apparent rejection redirects us. A delay protects us from entering too early. Someone remembers our name in a room we have never entered. An idea planted years ago suddenly finds the right season. Coincidence? Perhaps. Grace? Maybe. The movement of a larger intelligence? That is how I experience it.

Trusting the Universe does not mean sitting under a mango tree waiting for abundance to fall into my lap – although sitting under a mango tree can be spiritually useful. I still make the telephone call. I write the proposal. I prepare for the meeting. I plant, water and tend what has been placed in my care.

Trust is not a substitute for action. It changes the quality of the action. I act without believing that everything depends entirely on me. I work without worshipping struggle. I prepare without trying to control every outcome. I do what is mine to do – and leave room for the Universe to do what I cannot.

The WAY May Not Look Like the Way I Imagined

This is where humility becomes necessary. Sometimes the Universe creates a way by opening a door. Sometimes it creates a way by closing one. Sometimes the answer is “yes.” Sometimes it is “not yet.” And, occasionally, the answer is, “You are asking for something too small.”

What appears to be an obstruction may actually be a redirection. What feels like an ending may be the clearing required for another beginning. We often recognise the way only after we have travelled some distance along it. Looking backward, we can see how certain people, losses, detours and unexpected opportunities formed a pattern. While we were living through them, however, they looked like unrelated events. That is why trust matters.

This Is What I Know

I know that I am more than my physical body.

I know that my mind is powerful, but it is not the only intelligence available to me.

I know that feelings can help me sense what is deeply aligned.

I know that thoughts can organise possibility.

I know that words can give intention form and direction.

I know that action demonstrates readiness.

And I know that after I have felt, thought, spoken and acted, I must release my anxious grip on the outcome.

There are forces at work that I cannot always see. There are connections being made beyond my awareness. There are ways being prepared that my conscious mind could never have designed. Call it God. Call it Nyame. Call it Spirit, Universal Intelligence or the organising principle of life. The name matters less to me than the relationship. I do not believe that I walk alone.

This Is How I Live

I begin with the FEELING.

I discipline the THOUGHT.

I speak the WORD.

I take the ACTION available to me.

Then I trust the UNIVERSE to create a WAY.

Not always my way. Not always on my timetable. But often a way larger, wiser and more interesting than the one I could have planned. That is not something I merely believe. It is what I have repeatedly experienced. This is what I know. This is how I live.

Semaj MindSpa Takeaway

Your body has limits. Your conscious mind has limits. But you are connected to something larger than either. Feel the life you are called to live. Think in ways that make room for it. Speak words that align with it. Take the next available action. Then loosen your grip on the route. You do not always have to know how the way will appear. Sometimes your responsibility is to become ready – and trust the Universe to create a way.
